more broccoli lovin’ hams…
you can’t see me…
this hamster really did look this hunchbacked and hopeful.
“Yeah, that’s right: I called your mother a Nutria!”
… i’ve started incorporating some of my other drawing practices with the hamsters. this hamster marks the start of something new and very exciting…
i really like everything about the ears. i actually considered just leaving the ears all by themselves… perhaps i should have.
lunchbreak hamsters are sometimes better, but they are unruly and bound off the page.
this ham is a great shape. look at those cute hands. that nose and brow, finally, just right. you can’t ask for better whisker angles than that. i believe the mood of this hamster is ‘polite indifference’.
i am trying to use heavier lines. this is a pretty big ham… about 10 inches. the bigger they are the better they ink, in my limited experience.
how about no feet! i will enjoy inking this one… another hamster with broccoli.
still tryin’ ‘a figure out them feets.
hamsters love lettuce too!
woah, awesome… i don’t know if that hamster is yawning or what but, crazy! still attempting to reduce the detail in the feet and somehow have less lines there so they don’t draw attention and fit with overall balance… or at least that is what i tell myself.
trying to create perspective with line width. not so much. i like how one whisker tapers out and the other in. it seems to create a balance between the lines as wells as directing the viewers eye back to the face and eye of the hamster… perhaps.
hamsters sure love their broccoli.
